The following resources are available to provide GFIPM federation member organizations and prospective member organizations with technical assistance throughout the process of joining a GFIPM federation and implementing information-sharing services within it.
GFIPM Implementation Guide
The GFIPM Implementation Guide contains detailed instructions for implementers of Identity Provider (IDP) and Service Provider (SP) endpoints, which are the two types of systems that participate in user-to-system transactions as specified in the GFIPM Web Browser User-to-System profile. The document covers all aspects of IDP and SP endpoint implementation, from requirements analysis to system deployment.
GFIPM Implementation Web Portal
The GFIPM Implementation Web Portal contains the implementation guidance that is available in the GFIPM Implementation Guide, as well as downloadable GFIPM developer toolkits and user-supplied content via a GFIPM Implementer Discussion Forum. User account registration is free, and all implementers in the GFIPM community are encouraged to sign up and participate.
GFIPM Web Services Implementer Toolkits
To support the adoption of GFIPM Web Services by the GFIPM community, the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) has recently developed several GFIPM Web Services Implementation Toolkits and made them available to the GFIPM implementer community.
GFIPM Trusted Identity Broker Onboarding Guide
The GFIPM Trusted Identity Broker (TIB) Onboarding Guide describes the concept of inter-federation information sharing within the GFIPM paradigm, via the use of a TIB. Its target audience includes representatives from agencies that want to perform interfederation information sharing and also conform to the GFIPM paradigm, as well as implementers working on behalf of those agencies.
