GFIPM stakeholders have developed a variety of resources for disseminating information about GFIPM to interested parties at varying levels of technical detail. These resources are described below.

Office of Justice Programs GFIPM Web Page

The U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs (OJP) has developed a web page that provides high-level information about the GFIPM program, including the basic goals of an information-sharing federation, recommendations of the Global Advisory Committee (GAC) pertaining to GFIPM, and a list of GFIPM program participants. The OJP GFIPM web page also contains links to various GFIPM documents.

GFIPM Overview

The GFIPM Overview is a high-level conceptual document that introduces the GFIPM concept of information sharing based on federated identity and privilege management technology. Its primary audience is high-level management within prospective GFIPM federation member organizations, and its primary purpose is to provide readers with a broad overview of the capabilities of GFIPM as a solution to many of the challenges inherent in cross-jurisdictional information sharing.

GFIPM Document Map

The GFIPM Document Map provides an overview of the GFIPM documents that have been developed or are currently in development, for the benefit of GFIPM program stakeholders. It contains a brief description of every major GFIPM document, including the purpose and content of the document as well as its relationship to other GFIPM documents. It also contains descriptions of other noteworthy GFIPM deliverables, including various web-based resources that play an important role in the delivery of critical information to GFIPM stakeholders. GFIPM Terminology Matrix

The GFIPM Terminology Matrix provides a terminology and concept map between GFIPM and other prominent paradigms in the areas of identity management, privilege management, and service-oriented architecture. Its purpose is to help GFIPM stakeholders better understand the various technical terms used in GFIPM by mapping each GFIPM term to the corresponding terms from other technologies.

GFIPM Web Services Concept of Operations

The GFIPM Web Services Concept of Operations (“CONOPS”) is a non-normative document that defines functional requirements and logical federated service interaction models for web services transactions in a GFIPM federation. It was developed as a starting point for the normative GFIPM Web Services System-to-System Profile.
